EXPORTS AND THE TRANSACTION FEE

It seems, since 2022, the OMVIC portal for online dealer renewals was not as clear on Export sales as it could have been.

The question simply asked how many vehicles you sold for Export; it did not ask if the sales were to non-dealers (which attracts the transaction fee) or to a dealer (which would not).

While OMVIC is studying the issue of how to confirm if a dealer outside of Ontario is really a dealer, any Members who feel they may have over-submitted the transaction fee are welcomed to contact OMVIC and have their file reviewed going back to 2022 by contacting OMVIC at the below email address:
